Good day to you all,

I have just returned to the task of moving a large app to X# - something I am looking forward to.

I am using the latest VO-xPorter.and cannot locate the *.viaef nor the *.vnproj output files.that X# IDE seems to want..

I can use "Ceate App from folder".. - is this the way to go?

Is there something I am missing / could you please assist?

As always, thank you and,

Cheers, JK

Hi JK,

It's the .viproj file that XIDE needs. Simplest way is go to your xported app's folder, double click on the <appname>.viproj file, select XIDE as the app to always open those files and it's done.

Otherwise, in the opening XIDE screen when you are asked to select a project, press the "Add" button and select that .viproj file, to add it to the list of projects available.

Good luck with your port to X# and of course don't hesitate to post any questions!

Hi John,
the best option to do a migration is IMHO to port to a subfolder of your XIDE projects folder:
xporter.png
xporter.png (41.44 KiB) Viewed 554 times
and then add the application from inside XIDE.
If you then use the same path every time you are porting the application you can overwrite your application when you need that.
Please see also here:

and maybe here (unfortunately a bit outdated, but nevertheless valid):
