Xide or OS

Hello
I connected my laptop to a second screen. I moved Xide and the project window (ctrl-p) to the second screen.
Now i removed the second screen. Xide starts normal but the project window is not visible. Is there a possibility in xide to change/reset the position of the project window? Or is this a OS bug?

Hi Horst,
Please open (while XIDE is not running) the file \XIDE\Config\Layout.cfg and remove the entry "Project", or move it to another location/or dock position (sections "LEFT","RIGHT","BOTTOM"). If you just remove it, you can open it again in a default position with Window->Project and then you can dock it to the right/left/bottom area of the XIDE main window by doing drag and drop on its tab page caption area.

Hi Chris,
may I suggest something: when during opening XIDE a key combination is pressed like Shift the program should ignore windows settings.
I'm doing similar things in my own apps, and that is important specially for people changing frequently between different work settings.
Other than this, I'm saving and restoring these based on the desktop size, so switching between single and multi monitor settings and even between external and internal monitor configurations works well.

Hi Wolfgang,
OK, can do that, which key combination would you prefer?

Hi Chris,
I would leave that to you.... if you don't use them otherwise, IMHO Shift would be a good option.

Hi Wolfgang,
Done, using the SHIFT key (CONTROL is already used for preventing loading the plugins). With SHIFT, the layout is reset to default locations and the new layout is not saved on exit, but you can force a save with a new command View->Save Current Layout.
