A quick note before I leave on a well deserved holiday.
Some of you may remember that I had to cancel a trip to Antarctica in February 2015 because my mother passed away.
Tomorrow I am going to try it again. I will fly to Argentina and then board a sailing ship "Anne-Margaretha" for a trip from Argentina to Antarctica and back.

For those of you that are interested: https://annemargaretha.com/. If you want to "follow the ship" look at https://annemargaretha.com/spitsbergen-antarctica-sailing/worldtrip-2017-2018/

I will be offline for more than 3 weeks, starting Monday 18th. In my absence Chris, Fabrice and Nikos will provide support for the product. I am convinced that they will do an excellent job.

Hi Robert,

first I have to thank you for all what you have done in the last years! X# is very usable and I like programming with it.

I wish you a good and safe trip and I hope you can enjoy this unique experience!
And of course, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year on the sea!

Wolfgang

P.S. this is a good time for a break, I think. X# is very stable, and many people will be away from work after Christmas until Epiphany.

Robert, good luck !

So perhaps we can say that X# development has been put on ice ! ?

PLEASE make sure you return, and return in one piece :P

While you are getting some fresh air I will continue to add details to the 'ClickStartXSharp' eNotes I am compiling - they are coming on quite nicely, and I am learning a lot.

I will post a link today to the latest version which has a pile more stuff then the last version for which I provided a link.

Best Regards,
Phil.

Robert

Have a great holiday, but don't get confused if you see a lot of these....

Phil,
If would be a little preposterous to say that development is on hold while I am away. Chris, Fabrice and Nikos (in alphabetical order) have all conbtributed a lot.
It has been a team effort.
I am sure that they will surprise me when I return with lots of improvements.

Robert,

I think you missed Phil's point. He meant that you will be coding while you'll be literally "on" ice!

:-)

Let's hope, "on" won't happen - would mean the vessel had hit ground ;)

@Robert: have a great holiday, i saw (only) patagonian soil some 20 years ago, impressive location!

Hi Karl,

From what Robert has told me, they will be indeed walking on ice some day or more. What's better than programming on your laptop with a penguin over your shoulder viewing what you're doing? :)

Hi Robert,

I wish you a great journey! Enjoy the nature and don't think about coding or these things.

You deserve it!

Bad business, IIRC, the "Magellan pinguins" are really small (but neat) - looking over your shoulder would mean, you lay flat on the floor ;))
