WebUI?

Post by wriedmann »

Hi Robert,

strange - now it is back as usual.

My phone is a Nexus 5X with Android 8.1 and I'm using Mozilla Firefox.

The forums look is now as it was 3 days ago, both on the phone and on my PC.
This can be a CSS issue, I think.

Thank you for you continued work!

WebUI?

Hello Karl,

Remarkable, because I also use Firefox Quantum (57.0.4) and this forum has not changed. It looks the same now in FF and also in Vivaldi. Did not notice changes yesterday either. And FF seems noticeable faster.

I share your feelings about the NG. Yesterday the X# NG did not work; today it did but with only 2 messages in 8 weeks we must accept that a technology which is far more user friendly and faster to use and can be stored and seen off line is slowly getting outdated although the 'comp.lang group is still used often. Having traveled for over 6 weeks in New Zealand I was reminded often how valuable it is to have your data off line. Most of the South Island's west coast is mainly without mobile reception - which I used for a wifi hotspot to my laptop. And most of the times, data traffic was slow (3G on its best).

Back home, on line data works fine of course and against the remaining drawbacks of having to log in and a less comfortable way of seeing what's new than in a NG we have a better option to include pictures and formatting.
