Remarks
Many controls generate notification events, which are sent to their parent window so that the parent window can take some action. The notification is sent to the parent in the form of the ControlNotify event handler. This event is often subclassed so that a control can send an event object that is specific to the control and the notification. In this case, a more specific event handler in the parent is called as well.
