Why is Subscribe checked in every new message?

Since a while Subscribe to message is checked in every new message. I have No in my profile on the Auto subscribe option.

I now have to uncheck this often or I get unneeded e-mails.

I'd suspect it has the same root, which hinders any change in a signature to write through - something in the site is here broken for quite some time. As it is only a little nuisance, and the same people which do the real work for us have to admin the site, i didn't want to complain

BTW, we could do with a bit more help from the community (no, Wolfgang, i DON't look at you...) for minor tasks like this.

How could the community help with a faulty forum setting?

I realize that the nuisance is minor. On the other hand, Robert seems to have solved (usually) settings issues from the forum pretty soon in the past.

You can't help here.
We are using the Kunena Forum software and the CommunityBuilder (CB) profile management.
Kunena has 100s of settings per user. We have added a tab page to the CB profile settings with relevant Kunena user profile settings.
Apparently the link between this tab page and the Kunena user settings is broken.
I'll check if I can find the reason for that.

It seems solved now! I added a few message the last hour or so, none with Subscribe checked.
