Windows on ARM and X#

Post by wriedmann »

Hello all,
Microsoft is now pushing Windows on ARM a lot, and nearly all notebook producers have presented their own machines, including Microsoft itself.
So I would expect that some of these machines will show up at some customers.
Is there anyone that has some experiences with X# applications on one of these machines?
Of course we will buy one of them later this year to be prepared for this.

Aside from the laptops, that were announced, there a developer kit, directly from Qualcomm. It can be pre-ordered now and should be available on June 18.

Could be a nice device for tests.

Wolfgang,

I know of one customer that is running a Mac on Arm and is running Visual Studio for Arm on that machine.
We have added ARM support for the X# intellisense in Visual Studio (a special version of the SQLite driver).
Part of our VS integration (the code model and the editors for VO forms, servers and menus) are written in X# and they run fine on that machine.
