Report engine in say AWS or AZURE to consume, source code etc

Looking at say 500+ clients and might want to produce each 300 complex statements, same time.
An End of Month process. Looking beyond a VM with OS and report engine and then multiple VMS
A bigger engine running with enough CPU power for this and more.

Anybody has experience with similar service and what are the results and costs.
Throw in any comments.
