Hi guys, Team and all,
Are you guys aware of this 'new'? web link / site ??
Note the modern version numbers too.
Try these links :-
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/dotnet ... work-4.7.1
"https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/dotnet ... work-4.7.1"
As much as context help seems good etc., it would seem that the way forward for MS and all is a web based information delivery.
If they are to keep their documentation right up to date then they need one place in which to do it.
Have a look at the site and see how easy it is to move through the Namespaces available.
Hope this interests a few ;-0)

Microsoft's new Browser access to API documentation
Hi Phil,
Yes, I think it was Karl or Wolfgang who had mentioned this some time ago and I made it the default context sensitive help source in XIDE. The old msdn help is still available though:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar ... .110).aspx
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet ... work-4.7.1
not sure why they needed to do another place, I assume at some point those will be merged?

Microsoft's new Browser access to API documentation
Hi Phil,
I'm using this page for at least a year now, and there was other people referencing it over the last months, including Chris, Karl Faller and myself, and I had also posted a link to it in the X# Documentation Project: https://docs.xsharp.it/doku.php?id=where_to_find_help
The best thing on this pages is that they have a lot of samples - a very useful feature.
I hate only one thing: with my browser, it changes to "de-de" all the time, and when I have to put links somewhere, I have to change it always to "en-us" for the english version.
But thanks for posting this: I hope that more and more people discover this very helpful resource.
Wolfgang

Microsoft's new Browser access to API documentation
Sorry Robert and guys,
I seem to have left the old heading in my new post.
Why does a new posting start with all the old headings and body content ?
Seems odd to me.
PLEASE Robert can you change the old/wrong heading to something like "Microsoft's new Browser access to API documentation" - or - something you think is better ?
Thanks for listening,
Phil.

Phil,
I think you got the old heading because your browser uses 'Auto complete' or something like that.
Anyway, I will change the heading.
