Am I correct in recalling that you were the main developer of Visual Objects 2.8 SP3 ?
If you were, it's safe to say that in an industry full of pretenders, Robert is the Real Deal.
That version was incredibly stable. Haven't had a speck of database corruption ever since.

Well, I know a person nicknamed Mr Data, what else would you expect. The other day I zoomed into a VFP coder to plant the seed of visiting us here on the forums. Came out he is Dutch, so my marketing skills came out. Do you know the brain behind X#, Robert vd Hulst, is also Dutch... Back come a mail...

How small is the world. I had an introdution a couple of years ago for Servoy, was impressed but not impressed enough to continue and now we have ‘Datarobert’ on twitter showing X#.

He was in an audience where Robert was a presenter it seems...

Hi Joe,
I can confirm that Robert was the guy that made the VO runtime very stable - GPFs are a very rare thing now.

But this makes his current job even harder: build a successor that permits to move all the VO code to .NET and make the applications even more stable.
